42 years ago Christians in our community stepped out in faith and planted a church in Cool, CA.
10 years later they stepped out in faith again and started a building project, which they completed a few years later.
Today, it is finally time for us to step out in faith and fulfill their original vision with one final project...

Atrium Project Updates

Time Line
- 2022- Launched the Atrium Project with a proposed budget of $400,000
- 2023-Atrium Team started meeting to work on planning the project in detail.
- 2024-Began to realize that the Atrium Project will need to be done in two phases:
- Courtyard Renovation
- Atrium Building
Courtyard Renovation
What's included in the Courtyard Renovation?
- Remodel Bathrooms
- Demo all existing concrete, grade, and replace with stamped concrete.
- Open up the breezeway from the back parking lot to flow directly into the courtyard.
- Move the septic tanks.
- New doors and windows throughout the courtyard
- Correct the roof lines
- Four new large gazebos
- New outdoor furniture
- Construction time line:
- The project will begin on July 8th
- we will demo the existing concrete, remove the coffee bar roof, grade the courtyard, pour new concrete, assemble the gazebos, and place the new furniture in July and August.
- The remaining items (bathrooms etc.) will be completed this Fall.
Finances
- Ultimately, we have determined that the cost of the first phase of the Atrium project will be $260,000
- the cost of the second phase, which is the building itself, is currently estimated to be $350,000
- Giving/Donations
- So far 37 families have partnered with us on the Atrium project
- We began the project with a special $100,000 donation
- In the last 2 years, we have received more than $75,000 in faithful, ongoing giving, which we have reported in the weekly bulletin
- we have received an additional $85.000 in special gifts, which brings our total to $260,000
