Andy Fisher
Director of Operations
Andy grew up in the Auburn area in a faithful Christian home. Although he spent much of his teen years running from Christ, the Lord graciously drew him back at age 20 through the influence of godly mentors. These men invested deeply in his life, guided him through Scripture, helped him wrestle with difficult questions about the God of the Bible, and introduced him to the Doctrines of Grace. Through their example and teaching, Andy came to know and trust the sovereign God who rules over every part of life.
Andy married his wife, Shannon, in 1991. Together they have been blessed with seven children—three of whom are adopted—and seven grandchildren. Andy and Shannon have been part of the Cool Community Church family since 1997, grateful for the relationships, discipleship, and ministry opportunities the Lord has provided through the years.
Since coming to Cool Community, Andy has served in a variety of ministries, including preaching, teaching, Children’s Church, AWANA, Men’s Ministry, home group leadership, and has recently joined the board of elders.
After retiring in 2024 from 37 years of local government service, he stepped into a new season of ministry, joining the volunteer staff at Cool Community as Director of Operations. Andy counts it a privilege to support the church’s ministries, care for its facilities and support its people as they grow in their walk with Jesus

Ross Gilleland
Worship Leader
Ross has been leading worship since 1996. He grew up in Sacramento, where he met his amazing wife, Marybeth. Together, they have served in many areas of the church—worship, youth, production, and more. In 2021, they moved to Volcanoville with their three children and have loved becoming part of the community.
Ross’s journey with Jesus began when he was around 8 years old, after his parents came to know Christ through a simple invitation to a church volleyball game. Just this past year, God sweetly reminded him of the exact date he gave his life to the Lord—9/13/92—through a message from his first Sunday school teacher. It was a precious gift.
Music has always been woven into Ross’s life. He began playing guitar at 11 and started leading worship as a teenager. For him, worship is more than music—it’s a posture of the heart. Whether through Scripture, prayer, or song, his desire is that the church would come together with one voice to glorify God. His heart as a worship leader is to lead in a way that honors God and unites His people in praise.

Emily Lomas
Worship Leader
Emily Lomas is the wife of Jeff and the mom of four—Tucker, Kinsley, Havyn, and Selah. She grew up in Santa Cruz in a big homeschooling family as the oldest of seven and has loved music, theater, and ministry since she was young. In 2011, her family moved to Cool, and soon after she joined the worship team at Cool Community—where she met Jeff. They married in 2014 and have loved raising their family in the area.
Emily was blessed to grow up in a Christ-centered home and came to faith at a young age. Over the years, God used her family, church, and homeschool community to deepen her love for Him, His Word, and His people. She was baptized at 16 in the American River—one of the many moments where she has clearly seen God’s guiding hand in her life.
Music has always been part of Emily’s walk with the Lord. From early involvement in musicals to worship ministry in several churches, God has shaped her heart as a worship leader. Her greatest joy is helping lead His people in praise—stepping aside so that Christ is magnified through every note and lyric.
“Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you.”
Psalm 63:3–4

Caleb grew up in Georgetown in a Christian home. He was saved at a young age through the preaching of the Word and the faith of his parents. His heart for ministry began at Forward Bible Camp where he served as a cabin leader and in their summer missionary program during his high school years.
Caleb worked for many years at the MarVal in Georgetown where he met his wife Natasha. They were married in 2022 and felt called to serve as interns at Forward Bible Camp, a role which they served for two years. God’s providence led Caleb and Natasha to Cool Community church in August of 2024. It was through many struggles and many more prayers that God gave them their forever home in Georgetown, where they live now along with their daughter Lia.
